Almanac is our platform and methodology for developing, deploying and maintaining bespoke AI systems. It combines our software libraries that are highly configurable to different applications, and includes AI technologies for information collection, storage, and analysis, as well as automated support agents for live applications. We can configure the platform based around your data and operating requirements, enabling us to move quickly from specification to prototype and production.

We start with the decision or workflow, not with a piece of technology. We work backwards to understand what information matters, how experienced people interpret it and where the process breaks down. Then we turn that judgement into software that can collect, analyse and present information at scale.

Almanac means we do not have to rebuild the underlying machinery each time, allowing us to tackle problems that are too bespoke for off-the-shelf software and too information-intensive to solve manually.

Sales intelligence and automated outreach

Bespoke sales intelligence software developed with Acelo to identify prospects, track potential customers and produce tailored outreach.

We worked with Acelo to build a platform that collects large volumes of information from LinkedIn and wider web sources at low cost. It brings this information together, filters it against sales criteria and tracks prospective customers over time, recommending which organisations and individuals to approach.

The platform combines this prospect research with the business’s own knowledge to generate tailored outreach materials and messages. It draws on relevant expertise and information about what the business offers, using the research behind each recommendation to make the approach specific to the prospect.

This connects prospect identification and outreach in one application, reducing the manual work involved in gathering information, selecting targets and preparing relevant messages.

Albatross have a partnership with Tonic Analytics to provide AI consultancy into their leading-edge machine learning data analytics programmes.

The consultancy has supported projects including aerospace predictive maintenance platforms, where our work has demonstrated how language models can add a new analytical layer to the specialist systems.

Our specialist knowledge has also supported engagements with rotorcraft regulation advocacy groups in the US. We have provided demonstrators for AI research and data gathering tools that are used to support lobbyists in Congress.

We work with organisations to understand how AI is being used in practice and how that use can be managed more effectively.

This starts with the work itself: where AI is being used, what information it handles, what it produces, how people review or act on those outputs, and where responsibility sits. We develop methods and software for turning fragmented organisational information into structured evidence that can be reviewed and kept current.

That evidence can support decisions about governance, capability and investment. It can help organisations identify where controls or oversight need attention, where staff need further support, and where AI may be useful but is not yet being applied effectively.

Our role combines research, system design and software development. We work with subject-matter experts to define the questions that matter, develop practical ways of collecting the relevant information, and build applications that can analyse and present it at organisational scale.
